Disappointed with flavourless supermarket beef, husband and wife Mark and Sue (above) Menkens decided to show Queenslanders how good a steak really could taste, launching their line of home-delivered beef products. Their black angus cattle are raised on the lush green pastures in and around Maleny on the Sunshine Coast and are 100 per cent grass-fed, with no finishing on grain, giving the meat superior taste.
Customers can buy the beef as a taste, quarter, half or whole beast, which is then cut into roasts, T-bones, eye fillet, rump, and the like. It’s ideal for splitting among friends, starting at $11/kg.
